Australian Songs

Submitted by admin

Original Australian Songs was the music theme of Vic Stathopoulos performance during his gig at Mother Reilly's on Thursday 7th April 2016.

Here is a direct link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBNYvDUs1dY

Vic's Night theme was Australian Music. The three songs are original.

Vic played 3 Australian songs:

1. Sitting in a Car

Sitting in a Car is about driving around Australia in the outback. Its about experiencing the long drives.

The distances in the Australia's outback are vast. If you are going epic drives like driving the Nullabor Plain or going from Adelaide to Darwin via Alice Springs or even driving from Townsville across Queensland to the Norther Territory the distances are great and at times it seems your driving and driving.

When you listen to Sitting in a Car pretend your in Australia either driving a car or motorcyle or on a bus or train and feel the distances and you will understand and feel the song.

2. Barrier Reef

Barrier Reef is an instrumental played on guitar.

Great Barrier Reef is a 2300km long ecosystem comprising of thousands of reefs and hundreds of islands made of hard and soft coral. It's home to countless species of colourful fish, molluscs, starfish, turtles, dolphins and sharks. The Great Barrier Reef is located off the coast in north-east of Australia.

Vic was in Queensland when he wrote the guitar instrumental and named it after the famous reef.

3. Walkabout

Walkabout song is a great sing-a-long tune especially in 'Bah Bah' improvisional part of the song.
You can read the Walkabout lyrics also.

This was Vic's 7th Gig of 2016 at Mother Reilly's Pub in Rathmines, Dublin, Ireland.

I hope you enjoyed the video. Have a great day or night wherever you are in the world and please tell your friends/family etc about my music.

Regards,

Vic Stathopoulos
